Hitech One is proud to announce its participation in « The Things Network »(1) powered by LoRa technology. This new generation and collaborative international network opens the communication of connected objects in the areas covered by its gateways. Because of its desire to participate in the emergence of IoT devices, Hitech One has set up its own TTN gateway(2) in its premises located near Toulouse-Blagnac airport. The latter offers the opportunity to any legal or physical person to set up communicating objects in this technological area of Blagnac.

The « The Things Network » is based on the LoRaWAN protocol(3) and thus on the emerging LoRa communication technology. This technology itself uses ISM free radio bands to establish communication between a very low-power node (connected objects, among others) and an application connected to the Internet via a long-distance wireless connection established by a gateway. The main advantage of this communication low consumption is that it allows the nodes to have the freedom to be battery powered to have autonomy of several months or years.

The LoRaWAN protocol has been defined by the LoRa Alliance(4) and has been formalized in the LoRaWAN specification.
